On a stunning waterside location right by the Limfjord, is the Hvalpsund Færgekro, one of the oldest inns in Denmark, with history dating back to 1532.
Hvalpsund Færgekro has an in-house restaurant with beautiful fjord views and during the summer season food is also served on the hotel terrace.
Lovely place, beautiful view, lovely people. We had a very nice time. Definitely we will come back one day!
Jesper is a very good host. There is an open kitchen that can be used by the guests. The breakfast was very good as well as the lunch packages and dinner available on request. The place is very close to the beach where spectacular sunsets can be watched if the weather permits.
We stayed here for one night before taking the ferry to Norway. The location is perfect, central, and close to the ferry terminal, and with good parking facilities. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We also used the common kitchen, which was properly equipped for us to prepare a simple pasta dinner. Breakfast was excellent.
Stayed with a group of friends on a motorcycle trip, heading to Norway. Hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the trunk road exit. Arrived in time for a quick beer before very nice dinner… our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was splendid with good coffee too. It was on the expensive side, but we were heading for the austerity of camping hytte life.. Happy to return and recommend..

The room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was excellent for dinner. The included breakfast was very good. The location was good for national park access. It had parking onsite.

The location is spot on. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The dinner is great and the breakfast is amazing - quality over quantity. The rooms are nicely done with comfortable bathroom, nice bed and balcony! They also include a surprisingly nice stocked minibar complimentary in the room rate. This is our second visit over the past 12 months and the hotel is only getting better - great management and colleagues running this hotel.
