Good location to main pubs, shopping centre, lake, art gallery etc. If it wasn't so cold at night would be an easy walk to pub for dinner
Had dinner very nice
The property was a home away from home for us with everything we needed for a comfortable and private 6 night stay. The cottage is located at the rear of an ex-guest house, now home to the welcoming owner (whom we met) and family. Easy 15 or so minutes walk into Healesville and 20 minutes’ drive from family in the Yarra Valley. Meal at ‘Innocent Bystander’ and visit to Four Pillars Distillery a must!
We’ve stayed before but was a few years ago. They allow you to bring your pets, which is great, with a grass area opposite rooms for them to run and play. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast provisions were also great. They are opposite a tavern for evening meals (but it closes early so don’t hope for a late dinner). Rooms look like they’ve been recently renovated too, which was a nice surprise.
This place is an absolute delight! Everything: the historic inn, the location, the interior decorating, the garden, the friendliness, the delicious buffet and cooked included breakfast, and the restaurant food was fabulous!
Loved the rustic, elegant, bohemian vibe. Been fond of the place when it still did lunch and continue to love it as an intimate music venue. Was a delight to have dinner there, see a fantastic live show and then stay the night.
Everything was very clean and tidy. I ordered dinner and they delivered it. The meal was beautiful and very hot. I would certainly recommend Winchelsea Tavern Motel to anybody travelling in that area.
Easy to get to and walking distance to a very nice tavern for dinner. The bed was comfortable and bathroom exceptional. No complaints.
