The family Grampelhuber were wonderful hosts. Mom, Dad, two sons, two daughter (in law), and two grandchildren, along with a fine and attentive staff. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was outstanding. Music filled the house. We will long look on our Austrian visit to Bad Goisern and Steegwirt fondly.

The surrounding was amazing. Waking up in the morning with sun just across the mountains and to see the low clouds, it was marvelous. The breakfast was very nice and complete, as well as dinner at resort restaurant.
Everything was on location, from utensils, to all machines, an oven and even extra stuff like the things you are usually used to buy in the store. From sugar to the actual coffee, nice drinks in the fridge, dinner for one in the freezer and in general just a wonderful experience from when I entered untill I left. The host is a wonderful person that knows his way around the location and in German is a very caring person that you should give nothing but love too.

The stay was really superior, from the extremely friendly check in to dinner in the restaurant, and including the large very comfortable room with great view over the mountains. The hotel is the perfect gateway to the beautiful scenery in the region, and it has an excellent span. We loved all of it.
Lovely Pension in the heart of the village Grein overlooking the Donau and the castle. Lovely garden to relax in. Nice cozy rooms.
We couldn’t arrive in check in time, but the innkeeper lady were kind enough to stay up a little later so we could check in! Thank you, wholeheartedly!
We stayed at the Pension which is the guest house down the road. It was clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the playground and swimming in the Danube which we heard from a local friend is clean and safe for swimming. There was also enough grassy space for my kids to play frisbee. The biking trails looked nice. Breakfast is included when you stay at the guest house and it was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We walked to Gasthof Jägerwirt Fam Landerl Komfortzimmer for dinner which we thought was excellent.
+ the view from the balcony + nice location just next to a cable car to the top of the mountatin where are nice hikes + tasty breakfast + friendly staff + clean rooms + radio in the bathroom + restaurant connected to the pension if you want to have a dinner (we didn't try, but it is nice to have this option)
