Located off Interstate 95, this historical inn boasts free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen cable TV. Town Beach is 12 minutes’ driving distance.

Rooms at The Old Lyme Inn feature a New England setting. Each room offers luxury bedding, an iPod docking station and a modern en-suite bathroom with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Select rooms provide a gas fireplace.

Definitely the beauty of the place and the service. Why go to New England to stay in a typical hotel room when you can stay at a historic mansion impeccably maintained? One night we got back very late and wanted some coffee. The manager personally took care of us and a waitress got us a delicious espresso and a latte. At no charge!!! That I call great hospitality.

It was adequate, but nothing special. However, there was plenty of toast and butter. The coffee was good as were the juices and the scrambled eggs I had were fine.

I mean the room looked like from museum except for it was my room. The hotel is since 1776. I was super happy I chose it. One of a life time experience for me!

We enjoyed our stay. It is quiet in the evenings unless you are in the bar with the hiking club. The price was quite a bit more than we ever pay but it was close to family and it was lovely. I almost cancelled to stay at a hotel for half the price. The drinks are not cheap in the bar. Perhaps a discount for those that are staying at the Inn. We had muffins and juice one morning and they were tasty. The staff are wonderful and outgoing. We are use to a softer bed but loved the king size room in the corner - #3. Thank you!

The hotel is lovely and in a great location. The staff was terrific. The adjoining jazz club was a huge plus and would make me stay at the Old Lyme Inn again.

The Inn was very eclectic and the property was beautiful. Location was good but did hear the noise of the close by Hwy I95.

The breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee and tiny store bought muffins. Served only after 8.30 am when a staff member finally arrived to open up the Inn which had been closed without staff since 5pm the day before!

The staff was upbeat and helpful, and the Inn is an historic and lovely treasure. On one late afternoon of my stay, an acoustic guitar soloist played on the outside patio for happy hour. I really enjoyed his music.

The Inn itself is charming and the staff is most welcoming and helpful. It was a bonus to stay across the street from the fantastic Griswold Museum. My family and I so enjoyed this experience to learn about the art culture of the area. The location is perfect for visiting neighboring towns.
