My recent stay at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort Myers Central was disappointing. The hotel felt run-down, the staff was unfriendly, and it lacked the quality I expected from La Quinta.

My experience with Doubletree Hilton was a positive one, enough so that I booked another room here for my trip the following week. The location is within walking distance of multiple dining options and my room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed dinner down at Shoeless Joe's Sports Bar and the cookies from the front desk are 10/10!

No desk attendant felt very unsafe without any staff onsite. The room had a plaque that said dial zero for assistance 24/7 however the telephone was broken. When I went out to find some dinner the elevator had what looked like a smear of blood in the floor, this added to the unsafe feel of the place.

We were totally surprised by the free drinks and dinner. I don’t think we’ve been to a hotel like that. My daughter loves stopping for the popcorn before heading out. The location is great, your about 20 minutes from everything in multiple directions which was nice to keep the kids busy. Check in staff was great because we had specials requests and it was Christmas Eve. The staff let my daughter throw her “reindeer food “ by the door so Santa could find us.
