Love the location, easy access to Newmarket, K Road. Room is well-equipped with dinnerware, microwave, hairdryer, TV etc. good heating / air conditioning. The standard king-sized room is good enough for the 2 of us.

We didn't have any breakfast. But we went to a nice Thai restaurant close by for dinner. And that was very nice. We only stay a night because we need to drive early to Coromandel Peninsula.

The Shuttle Service gives Heartland the competitive advantage over others..We have always beens taying at heartland even the time of Ventura Inn and Then Bella Vista..Somehow lately, it is hard to find booking at heartland but its my preferred hotel whenever I come to NZ .

Location was gorgeous. We could see the waterfront of Auckland from outside our room. Boat ride for $4.00 from Devonport to Auckland Waterfront oneway. Room was tucked away from the bussle of the traffic in the busy area. Whalf and ocean was just outside our door step. Tavern below had dinner and drinks available to order. If you love the look of old but with some modern comforts you'll love this hotel. Even had an elevator to upstairs.
