Situated beside the beach in the scenic village of Dunmore East, The Strand Inn features an on-site seafood restaurant, free parking and an outdoor patio with views of the Hook Head Lighthouse.

Free Wi-Fi is provided in each room at The Strand, as well as a flat-screen TV and en suite bathroom. Many also come with a balcony overlooking the ocean.

Our room was absolutely lovely, it had a balcony, a king bed and bunk beds. We went to bed listening to the sounds of the sea. Couldn't have asked for more.

Breakfast was A-la-carte and the server was super energetic, welcoming and warm. Breakfast was well portioned and delicious. Dinner was also very enjoyable, we sat next to the huge window with great seaside view. Before dinner, had drinks in the bar downstairs, all the bartenders were super friendly and welcoming! We had a great experience at The Strand Inn :-)

On arrival we were welcomed by Catherine , a lovely professional and friendly lady , a manager I think , she was so helpful and kind , and couldn’t do enough for any of the customers there in the Strand Inn I’ve booked for my big birthday in a few weeks time and I can’t wait to return

Staff are so friendly and helpful something a lot of hotels lose out on. Hotel is charming and uniquire - please do not change and food both at dinner and breakfast was amazing. View from room was priceless.

The staff went out of their way to make this stay perfect. We loved our comfortable rooms, the spaces to gather with our family inside the inn, its closeness to the water, the excellent breakfast.

We had a view overlooking the beach and thoroughly enjoyed our view of the sea. The hotel was very quiet, although we also overlooked the patio, so during warmer weather, it may be a bit noisy - but still great views with a sliding patio door that opened to the sea air! Excellent location for walking to a handful of Dunmore East pubs, restaurants, bakery, etc. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast after a walk along the cliff path was also very good.
