Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
A nice clean no fuss accommodation. A very cheerful hardworking host . Very alert and helpful. The added facility of a kitchen/ lounge which guests can use to warm up and have a meal or rustle up breakfast was very useful
Margaret also recommended an excellent option to go have dinner at .
The property itself is room only with no breakfast offered or available near by
The location is up a hill with a steep walk back from village. So convenient only if coming by self drive car
Our room was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was a great selection for breakfast. We also had dinner in the bar which was lovely. Also used the pool, sauna etc which was great. especially the outdoor pool.
Room was big, cool and comfortable. Pool was warm and loved the outdoor pool! I was very impressed to find an accessible shower chair in the very large corner shower in the changing room of the spa. Dinner and breakfast were delicious
Has a lovely garden with a great view over the city, was lovely to sit out there in the evening with a book! We walked to nearby restaurant for dinner - walking down/up the hill was absolutely fine and there's restaurants within a 15min walk.
2 minute walk to the bars, restaurants, shops etc. The room ws like a 4 star hotel room, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was great. The only difference between the Lancaster Lodge Guest House was the fact that they did not have a bar or serve evening dinner, but because of its location that didn't matter at all. The staff were really helpful and friendly. There was also secure parking on-site, which was a bonus.
