Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
My partner and I had a lovely stay at the weekend, the hotel is really clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again. We had dinner in the resturant as well as breakfast, the food is really good, we had a lovely meal.
we stayed in room 7 of the lodge which was a great size, the bar, breakfast and dinner staff were very friendly and attentive and location was a lovely setting opposite the golf course whilst. the property offered pleasant garden areas. we were located in the ground floor of the lodge which offered double door access the garden which was a benefit.
The bed was comfortable, and we slept reasonably well, The room was well appointed and comfortable, there were plenty of additional items such as an Iron and Ironing board. The breakfast was good, better on the Sunday the buffet was easier to manage in some ways as service on the Saturday was slow and seemed a little disorganised. Dinner on Saturday night was great as well, the evening service seemed to be more organised than that morning's breakfast.
The dinner I attended was superb. Having friends in catering up to the top class I can only give the ultimate catering accolade, "Chefie had a bit of luck!" Room was so spacious and relaxing, (No.4), everything just so. Shower, well what can i say, never felt so clean! Staff, so friendly, helpful and made me feel very welcome. Waiter service; you would hardly notice they were there, like ghosts; perfection.
This hotel is in the most magnificent and very well maintained grounds. The restaurant provides good quality meals for both dinner and breakfast, which is substantial. There is a good bar and there are several spaces, both indoor and out, to relax. The hotel has a remarkable World War II history with strong connections with the RAF. Many wall mounted photographs demonstrate this.
Spinney on the Green is an exceptionally clean, well equipped property that has everything you need for a relaxing break.
Michael, the host. Is friendly, welcoming and provides a range of ‘treats’ in the welcome pack.
