The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit to Fakenham. The welcome on arrival was brilliant, considering we had been held up in traffic and were later than expected. Despite the kitchen being about to close, the proprietor made an exception and we had a good basic meal. The accommodation was very adequate and comfortable and clean. The included continental breakfast was perfectly adequate. Check out was quick and easy, so overall a good experience.

We liked the quirkyness of the entire place! There was something interesting at every corner! More than anything we appreciate the warm welcome of the hosts and their way to find anything to please us and make us feel comfortable!

Our room was beautiful and the gin and cake were lovely touches
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Location was excellent. Good choice at breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would certainly stay again. Ideal for Holkham Hall, just a few miles away.
Room, staff, food, location all brilliant. Was in the area for Christmas lights etc and spent 2 very comfortable nights. Liked the touch of a little tree in the room. Wasn't free to eat dinner but the breakfast was delicious.
Breakfast was elite. All the options you could want all cooked to perfection. The room we had was fabulous and comfortable and worth that little bit extra for the freestanding bath! Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent - we ended up eating dinner there on both nights.
Rooms and bathrooms lovely, and great size. Menu for dinner and breakfast superb and the food delicious with generous portion sizes.
Very attractive traditional setting.
All the staff friendly and professional.
A very nice well appointed Inn that has retained a lot of original features with a nice sized double room ( Holkem) with separate bathroom which was huge .
The room was beautiful with lovely touches such as the way toiletries, tea/coffee was displayed. The staff were all really friendly. We had dinner with friends in the restaurant which we couldn't fault and the pies, which they are renowned for, didn't disappoint. Breakfast was also tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel and we hope to return especially with the new rooms being built as they look lovely.
The friendliness of the staff, the quality and choice of dinner and excellent breakfast. Our room was very clean and welcoming. Beds very comfortable, bathroom was a good size with modern fittings but not detracting from the character. All in all, we could find no fault with our stay except next time, we will definitely stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Excellent meal for dinner and tasty breakfast. A beautiful place in the countryside with flora, fauna and walks close by.
