The Kingstanding Inn, hotel in Walsall

Located in Birmingham, 4.5 km from Villa Park, The Kingstanding Inn provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

Headboard was on floor, tv didn't work and no bin in room. Door didn't feel secure, loose like it had been broken in. No tea coffee. Breakfast was advertised on flyer at check in desk, but in morning a rude cleaner said there no breakfast that flyer shouldn't be there, there's no food. I showed her the pile of flyers on desk she said it makes no difference there's no food. Rest of staff were friendly and happy and provided loo roll for the toilet in bar ( as there wasn't any in all 3 cublicles)

the beds was comfy and room was clean. we stopped in a disabled room my partner accidentally pulled the red emergency cord in room we turn it off after 10 minutes but no one came even know it wasn't emergency I think someone should have came to see if we was already. we paid for breakfast when we booked hotel but my cousin was getting married and booked for all of us to have breakfast so we paid twice for breakfast, the hotel wouldn't refund us our money back. abit disappointed with our stay. staff didn't seem to care.

The Fountain Inn, Digbeth, hotel in Walsall

Attractively set in the centre of Birmingham, The Fountain Inn, Digbeth features free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

Staff were really helpful. Room is a bit small and could do with a deep clean in the room itself but not too bad. Had to keep moving the bed, though, because it kept making its way across the room every time we sat on it! Bathroom clean. It was nice that we could just nip downstairs for a drink 😁 very noisy in the early hours with someone banging doors. Good overall for an overnight stay.

Whilst the decor and fittings may be a little dated the accommodation if comfortable and quiet by comparison to inner Birmingham. Most people staying are in construction so its quiet from 1030 to 0600. No car racing in the street and away from the general noise of the city.

Front of hotel very nice, clean and inviting. Room was standard, but clean. Lady that checked us in during the day was very nice and friendly. Stayed here a few years ago and the hotel was pretty run down. It has had a big change within its appearance as the entrance area, dinning etc have all been revamped. The room had new carpet laid so a nice fresh feeling to it.

Location was perfect for me. Good transport links. Used the communal kitchen (which was very clean) to make some dinner rather than have a take away. Check in process was simple & fast. Good shower, nice towels, room was warm and the windows worked (I like airflow when I sleep) Also plenty of plugs in my room some with USB ports.

We were here for a Christmas dinner a group of 20 and we stayed the night. I must say the food was exceptional probably the best service and presentation for Christmas. The pre drink and canapés on arrival were a lovely treat. DJ was ok I found the room way too small but didn’t impact on our evening. Staff on reception very friendly especially the gentleman. Lovely bar area for pre dinner drinks. We will definately visit again.
