Amazing homestay tucked away in Devon. Anne is a very nice host and treated us to a full English breakfast complete with vegetarian sausage (as we are veg), fried eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice. She even fixed us a quick sandwich dinner on the first night when we arrived late and all the local places were already closed. Great views of the surrounding hillside and the sea from the room and the dining area. Bathroom is huge and has a soaking tub. Overall great experience!

Honestly, I can not fault this guest house. The hosts, Ali and Michael were very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. The room is clean and a good size too. The bed is very comfortable. The house is only a few minutes away from the harbour by car but if you love walking, it is a nice walk to the harbour too. We stayed for a couple of nights, but after this experience, me and hubby will definitely be returning for more stays. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Oh, I forgot to mention the breakfast.....it was superb.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyabl as possible. We had dinner and breakfast which were both excellent with a good choice. The bed was very comfortable and the room large and well furnished. The bathroom was also a good size. The hotel had a large car park, beautiful gardens along with a terrace to enjoy drinks.

Mandy & sharon who run the guest house are both exceptional hosts. Friendly & very welcoming. We arrived early & our rooms were already prepared, not only that I was then offered the parking space at the back. Facilities were fantastic, we were on the top floor and there was no issue with water pressure. Breakfast was fantastic, good choice on menu and lovely fresh fruits, yogurt and cereals. Would definitely recommend this guest house. Will definitely be back.

The room was splendid - with marvellous views of the sea . Very clean and bed comfortable. The bar in the hotel is really cosy with plenty of seats and great views of the garden and the promenade . The food in the restaurant was very good indeed . Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Great location and its art deco vibe was lovely . Plus of course the connections with Agatha Christie . Also it is a stones throw from the railway station where trains can be taken to destinations all over south Devon and beyond .

The guest house and hosts john and Marie were superb, immaculately clean, food was perfect, i even had melted cheese on toast with tinned tomatoes, and nothing was too much trouble. It was ideally situated to the promenade and bus stops, which were a 5-10 minute walk. Restaraunts, pubs, and harbour were approximately 10 to 20 minutes leisurly stroll.

Hospitality it the key to good accommodation and Mr Bhatta, the owner of Crimdon Dene, knows exactly how to look after and cater for guests. The breakfasts were fresh, plentiful and tasty. The rooms were as expected for an Edwardian Guest house (i.e. en-suite size acceptable, bedrooms reasonable sized doubles). The bedrooms were exceptionally clean. The guest bar was an added bonus for pre-dinner drinks before moving onto local restaurants. Infact, the hotel is ideally situated for the whole of Torquay and beyond.
