The room was spacious and nicely decorated. We loved the idea of a hamper and fridge containing our breakfast - it meant we could have a lie in! The pub was very popular and lively- real ale and fantastic food one of the reasons. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Crown Inn was close to a wedding we had been invited to and was an ideal place to stay overnight rather than driving home It was spacious with a separate living area and a nice bathroom with shower. The breakfast was cooked fresh the next morning and very good

Dinner in the pub was way better than expected, the menu is standard pub grub but chef is clearly talented. Staff all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast bespoke, I could have had anything but I was full (see comment about dinner). Overall very good VFM.

Lovely, traditional Inn in a village setting* ( it was darts night, though we weren't called upon as reserves :-). Staff were very friendly, effecient and helpful. The evening meal was good and fairly priced. Breakfast, included in what was a very reasonable room price, was excellent.

We had been pre-warned that the Inn would be closed on two nights of our stay, nevertheless the Manager and her associates went out of the way to provide evening means, especially catering for my wife's dietary needs. I sympathised with their plight as it appeared the chef had walked out on them a few days earlier and had left them in the lurch.

Everything was wonderful. Such a treat to have home made meals, which were absolutely delicious! . The personal touches throughout the Inn were much appreciated. As was the well cared for pretty garden. We are looking forward to returning. Linda and her team work really hard to make their guests feel at home.

This is a lovely country pub and our room although not huge, was absolutely fine and more than adequate for our needs. The staff were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner in the bar was from a wide ranging menu whilst the English breakfast was extremely well cooked, presented and plentiful.

Cosy and authentic thatched inn that is full of character and has a lovely garden. The friendly and helpful proprietor, staff and regulars made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was great too. We had fun playing the darts and pool in the pool room full of classic album covers from the 70s and 80s. Then slept like logs in the comfortable room that also had a little snug with tea and coffee and a spotless en-suite.
