What a lovely place. The staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived. Loved the room, huge(#1). Plenty of little extras that made this stay so enjoyable. Was attending an event at The Queen's Hall. Should I return, then I know where I'll be staying🙂

This was booked last minute and I have learned to be sceptical about Inns that have pubs. The proprietors are kind and welcoming. The rooms are very clean if basic. The standard, tea, tv and wifi are included. The food both breakfast and dinner were good. And, on a Thursday night, the pub was quiet. I had a great sleep.

We liked the exceptionally friendly welcome and our spacious bedroom. We appreciated the non-slip surface in the shower. We enjoyed our dinner - imaginative, well cooked and nicely presented. The provisions for our DIY continental breakfast were generous and varied. We admired the efficient and friendly service at dinner.

Very welcoming place. Room was a good size and in a perfect location for walking routes I had planned. Dinner booked for the bar area at 7:30pm and I went down around 5pm. Very welcoming staff and local. Because the pub ic community owned there was a very community feel and I got talking to lots of different people throughout the evening.
