The choice for vegetarians was fantastic. Compliments to the chefs - the best cooked breakfast and evening meal that I’ve had for a long time, you could taste the skill and care of the chefs. The staff were friendly and efficient and very attentive. Room was very clean.

The Knife & Cleaver, hotel in Sherington

Opposite a Grade I listed church, The Knife & Cleaver is a AA 4 Gold Star award winning guest house.

I needed a place to stay last minute for a business event. I loved the look of Knive & Cleaver and the restaurant. The room was very rustic in design, matching the rest of the restaurant's interior. I love it. There was no noise during the night; I didn't hear other guests, and it was so peaceful in the area. The follow morning I arrived for breakfast and was surprised by the variety and the chef's presentation skills were impeccable. I absolutely loved the salmon and scrambled eggs on toast with avocado - highly recommended. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely book there again for future trips.

Amazing place in a quiet little village. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We were late for dinner that we booked (over an hour, due to traffic getting out of silverstone), and it wasn't an issue.

I liked most things. What I did not like was the television system - why not have a simple TV like most places like PremierInn. An old customer like myself does not want to be fiddling with phones and paying for programmes that I am not interested in!!

Arrived 30 mins after last order for food orders. Young lady arranged for the kitchen to stay open for my order. Great customer service. Prefer the Guinness than the Camden stout?.

Lovely welcome from a young dark haired lad who was working behind the bar when we arrived. Showed us to our room which was very clean but did have slightly dated bedding. Nice big TV in bedroom and great enclosed shower with lovely big white towels. Nice size pub garden for pre dinner drinks but it needed some attention. Little messy in places. Had a fantastic meal in the pub which was faultless. So happy with the food.

Fantastic Breakfast menu and tasty food all cooked fresh. It was a nice spacious room with good WiFi and large bathroom. As long as not fully booked will stay again as much nicer than Premier Inn and better value.
