    The mixture of old country pub with a fabulous Chinese restaurant . The room was very comfortable with generous tea and coffee facilities . The breakfast was delicious and wholesome and the Chinese dinner was the best we have ever had , anywhere !The owner / manager Mrs Chu was very attentive , polite and friendly . We’ve already booked our next stay !

    The Plough Inn is easily located on the main road between York and Beverley and is well away from thd main road and very quiet. Parking is plentiful. We were warmly welcomed and our room was very comfortable and easily warmed on a very chilly July day. We has zn excellent Chinese meal in thd restaurant where the service and food were excellent.

    Such a warm welcome from the owner, we were bowled over! Comfortable room with tv, kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. Dinner in the restaurant was superb.

    This is such a great place to stay for a visit to York. Staff are just lovely, very nice breakfast, super-clean rooms. So much nicer than staying in Travelodge or Premier Inn

    Breakfast is variations of 'Full English' and well cooked. We had dinner and this was very good but the menu is a little limited. I would say the room was much better than I imagined it would be, very clean with a comfortable bed and en excellent ensuite shower room.
