We were in the area for work and stayed Sunday night. We arrived late for Sunday lunch and the staff were really nice and nothing was a problem. The food was fantastic and good value. We were very impressed with the room on the top floor. Very big, lovely spacious bathroom with bath tub and separate shower. We would have loved to explore the area, but we only had time to have a quick walk…but what a walk! It is right next to some stunning views and rocks and we saw plenty of wild ponies. Just magical. The breakfast was also fabulous and the staff super friendly. Would love to come and stay for a longer break and explore the area. 100% recommend.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful enough for me. There were tea and coffee facilities. The mattresss was firm, as I like and pillows were also good (and there were plenty of them). The wifi was fast and free. There was a working TV in the room but I didn't use it. There was also a mounted hairdryer in the bathroom which worked well enough to dry my long hair. I slept well, once I had gotten to sleep (see what I didn't like ooops!). The breakfast was very nice and comprehensive, apart from the coffee (see below). I was offered a cooked breakfast but I didn't have time, however the options were marvellous. Parking was free and there were many spaces available in the car park behind the pub. It was a perfect location both for work and for me to get a fab run in before heading off.

The rooms were excellent - stylish and comfortable, and everyone at the Inn was extremely helpful. Good food in the pub too.

Beautiful part of the world, old inn with character, good staff and good food
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
A lovely traditional village pub with comfortable rooms, friendly staff and good food. We stayed for a week but there was plenty of choice on the menu for dinner and the breakfasts were exceptionally good. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. The location is convenient for the attractions of Dartmoor but also quiet enough to provide some peace and quiet and the sense of staying in a friendly village rather than a busy tourist centre.
Staff were great, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great with adequate choices - though coffee could have been a bit better; small but Ok selection of meals for dinner. Great local beer.
What can I say. Our stay at the Keston Inn exceeded our expectations. Comfortable room, brilliant food and the most amazing welcome from the staff and locals. Perfect location for visiting South Devon. We have already booked to return in the Autumn. Can't wait.
I loved the large bedroom, tastefully decorated, and the huge comfortable bed. The view across the forest to the moors was wonderful. I liked the excellent breakfast and pub for drinks and delicious dinner.
Huge bed, good sized bathroom with a great shower.
Good selection for the cooked breakfast. We also had dinner in the very cosy restsurant and the food was delicious and really well priced. Good off road parking.
The location was excellent and the staff were always very friendly and helpful.
It's was a wonderful starting point for a lot of hikes in the area and also a nice place to relax and have a delicious dinner at the end of the day.
We enjoyed our time enormously.
