A traditional British pub, the Red Lion offers en suite rooms, home-cooked food and cask ales. It is 2 miles from Coniston Water and has views of the Old Man.

Rooms at the Red Lion in Ulverston feature simple modern decor and wooden furniture. Each room has a TV, radio and views of the Lake District.

Excellent breakfast on both days. Quiet location. Great en-suite room. Steve and Lucy were excellent hosts. Many thanks!

In the Lake District National Park, the White Hart is a 17th-century inn, in the village of Bouth. There is free private parking, and traditional Cumbrian breakfasts are provided.

Halfway between Lake Windermere and Coniston Water, White Hart Inn is a 20-minute walk from magnificent views of the Rusland Valley. Local leisure pursuits include climbing, fishing or cycling.

Great inn, great location. Jess and John went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend White Hart Inn

As a dog friendly stay, this was our first booking at a dog friendly property. From our first contact to booking out, The Red Lion Inn could not have be any more accommodating. Such friendly owners and locals, we felt very welcomed during our stay. Our breakfast was exceptional. The evening meals was good traditional food, I certainly would recommend the Cumberland Sausage. We would be more than happy to stay at The Red Lion again when visiting the South Lakes.

Full English breakfast was included, and it was very good. Great location for me as I spent 3 days cycling in the Lake District. Large dinner menu, way more than I was expecting. Great food and beer and service. Many thanks to Steve and Lucy.

Traditional village inn. Very welcoming owners and nice ambience in the bar. Comfy room with modern bathroom and good shower. Tasty food at dinner and breakfast. Lovely quiet village location in the middle of the countryside but not far from the main road. The churchyard has benches with wonderful views over the fells. A relief after the crowds!
