Set in Oban, 26 km from Dunstaffnage Castle, The Kilchrenan Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Located around 35 km from Kilmartin House Museum, the inn with free WiFi is also 50 km away from Inveraray Castle. The property is non-smoking and is located 29 km from Corran Halls.

We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Looking for an inn?

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

The Ben Cruachan Inn was such a great find- the location is spectacular with amazing scenery right on the doorstep, the food is great and the room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s easy to drive to as it’s on a decent A road and is about 2 minutes from the hotel to the train station platform-there are several excellent walks you can do straight from the hotel without a car. Loved it and we would stay again.

Absolutely amazing inn! The confit duck is to die for, and the staff are top-notch. The atmosphere is really welcoming and cosy, and the room is charming. I also really liked that you pre-order your breakfast, and I generally felt really catered to. The location is to die for as well; a stone throw away from the local railway station.

I stayed in one of the apartments (suite 8) overlooking the loch. The apartment was spotless. Everything was provided... Microwave, cooker, dishes, cutlery, utensils, toaster, fridge. Everything was in pristine condition. Food in the inn was amazing and staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Really nice layout, spacious and all the facilities you need on one floor. Had some really nice touches like recyclable paper cups in the en-suites rather than plastics ones, shower gels and oven clean and ready for use. Perfect location for Loch Awe and Cruachan, as well as short distance from the Inn.

Check in and welcome was very good. We were walked to our self catering pod and advised about breakfast and dinner. Room was lovely - great views over the loch, big covered deck, nice kitchenette and sofa, and bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is beautifully done with full walk in shower/wet room. Our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent.

Very good atmosphere and friendly staff in a great location; The Inn is very contemporary but retains plenty of rustic charm too.
