Formerly a 17th-century coaching inn, Cain Valley Hotel features a traditional restaurant and ale bar. The historic hotel is surrounded by beautiful Powys countryside, just a 20-minute drive from Snowdonia National Park.

Sincere friendliness of the staff and in fact the village community also.

Lovely hotel, full of character and friendly staff. Good food (breakfast and dinner) + a great little bar in the evening where we could wash it all down!

Friendly, attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Quirky 17th century building. Food excellent - I had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Perfectly cooked steak for dinner and breakfast was very generous portion. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Provisions in room were adequate.

The staff were really helpful and lovely. The restaurant was good and tasty. Breakfast was very good. The inn was very interesting historically, though the old, uneven floors made it an interesting experience to walk on when you were half asleep!

Quirky room with very uneven floors. Sometimes, older places like this are not so clean but not at Cain Valley Hotel. Everything was spotless. We had dinner, which was good and breakfast was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was an historic inn in a beautiful village. There was parking provided around the back which was probably quite necessary. I had a really friendly check-in and delightful service throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and brightness of my room. I ate dinner in the pub which was fantastic and enjoyed my breakfast too. My dog was able to join me for both dinner and breakfast as well as stay in the room which is sometimes not the case.
