The Captain Cook, hotel in Kingston upon Thames

This boutique hotel is situated in southwest London. It has 8 rooms with either en-suite or shared bathrooms. Every room has a 42-in TV, WiFi access, super king size beds and coffee machines.

Big, clean and very nicely decorated room with a cozy bed. It was very quiet, you couldn't hear a thing from the pub underneath. Never made it to dinner at the pub, unfortunately, but it looked very nice and I could take drinks to the room after hours. Staff was very helpful and warm. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, Fulham is a really nice place to stay. Tube station Parsons Green is only a 15 minute walk through a quiet residential area; nice cafés around such as Matt's Café, Mil Kitchen and Vanilla Bean. Bus stops almost at the door, very convenient. Would definitely stay there again and can fully recommend it!

The beautiful setting, in quiet grounds. Friendly staff. Clean and luxurious room. We also enjoyed our dinner - although it was very overpriced - and the breakfast was fine too.

Very pleasant staff, good location, 7 minutes walk to the nearest trainstation. Large park with playground for kids a few minutes walk. Great food (dinner and lunch) in the hotel-restaurant. We stayed in the suite at the top floor, it has a separate bedroom for the kids, which was great.

Interesting and attractive old world charm of the building and main interior. All the staff were unfailingly polite and nice to deal with. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Nicely presented bedroom, not as characterful as more historic rooms, but nice and clean and comfortable for a night's stay.

Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help and the rooms were clean with added extras which we didn't need but could have had we wanted to e.g. a large umbrella, bathrobes and slippers. Location of hotel excellent for our visit to Hampton Court with added bonus of being directly opposite to Bushey Park for lovely walks. The evening meal was excellent. Good selection of bar drinks - Guinness was good.

I have stayed at this Guest House a couple of times previously. Meets all my expectations for my needs. The hosts are lovely people and very helpful. The guest house is clean and tidy, and offer a lovely breakfast in the morning. Free off street parking is a must when I book a stay. My room was perfect, comfy bed + pillows, clean towels as required. I will be back in the area later in the year and will stay here again.
