We really enjoyed our stay at Gosforth hall inn. It was super dog friendly with a short walk to a field with amazing views to exercise our dog. We had drinks in their beautiful beer garden before & after dinner, I had the steak & mushroom pie which was superb. The room was very clean & comfortable with a modern bathroom with a really good walk in shower.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice & set us up for the day. I only wish we could of stayed for longer, but will look forward to returning.

Location was spot on. Climbed Scafell Pike Saturday so stayed the night before. Breakfast hit the spot for the big climb. Views from the beer garden were second to none.

Very friendly host with great knowledge of the local area, providing recommendations for places to visit, grab a bite to eat and explore. Also a very lovely ginger cat that gave great cuddles!

On arrival the hotel looked OK, it was reasonably priced, the bar area was quite good, the upstairs areas and room were a little grubby and dated, but, for the price I've stayed in worse, the breakfast was also quite good. That's the good bit.
I suppose we would have been quite happy with our stay had it not been for the events of the first night

I loved the decor of the property, very modern and clean. Usually in the lakes most places are dated or very high priced. This is very clean and well presented.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Beautiful old building, in a very cute little town. There’s a bridge next to the inn and some hiking to be had in walking distance from the inn. Beds were comfortable
Excellent location for the Wasdale fells. We were allocated a room designed for people with a disability but as a result it was larger than usual and suited our purposes. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were hearty and good quality. The waiting staff were friendly and very helpful. I have stayed before and will stay again
Helpful friendly staff. Great location. Substantial cooked breakfast. Dinner was excellent on both nights, very busy with lots of casual diners from the local area, good selection of starters and main courses.
The beef and onion sandwich I had in my packed lunch in lieu of breakfast was amazingly good. My dinner meal was hot and tasty. My room had a brand new shower. Chloe working at the hotel was always willing to help with a friendly and likeable and pleasant nature. The single room was small but cosy although the mattress was too soft.
Stayed at The Bridge Inn recently. More than happy to return, however

Food was lovely and big potion. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. We got there late and hungry, they kept the kitchen open to make us a beautiful dinner. Also in the morning they made my food with my request due to my sickness. Thanks for their patience and great service. This hotel location to steam train and Muncaster Castle is only few minutes drive way, you can walk there too. We had very nice experience staying there.
