The guys who worked there were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The food was delicious and came really quickly which was great as we were eating before going out to meet friends. The pub had a friendly feel. The pub was well set out downstairs and upstairs our room was clean and well equipped with a nice bed, coffee/tea and ensuite shower. It was excellent value for money.

The Inn is a perfect location for exploring the village, such as the Roald Dahl muesum and Missenden Abbey, both not far away at all. The staff are so friendly, the food is excellent and it has a lovely cosy feel. It was very clean and really quaint. It wasn't noisy at all and offered food and drink.

Very warm welcome and happy to help with anything I needed ie decaff coffee pods for my room, changing time for dinner when plans had to change. All the food was delicious, waiting staff smiling, helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

Character of inn. The eccentric design and the trust the staff placed in the guests. Don’t take room 1 unless you are prepared to duck under the entrance beam. Once you are in its spacious and modern. Room 7 facing countryside and tipi is quiet. Breakfast fruit option was special. Strawberries, fresh pineapple and water melon. Nice! Service was very personal.

This is a really comfortable and friendly place. The staff made us feel so comfortable from the very beginning. The decor was beautiful and we loved the 15th century doorways. Beautiful food too - we had dinner and breakfast here. Good location, with easy access into town.
