Hadley Bowling Green Inn, hotel in Great Malvern

Only a 15-minute drive from the city of Worcester, this hotel is situated in Hadley Heath, just outside Droitwich. It dates back to the 16th century, and offers free Wi-Fi and a restaurant.

I was greeted with a warm welcome at Hadley BGI. Despite my booking being last minute, as poor weather curtailed my travel plans, the Inn check in was efficient, professional and made me feel comfortable. A lovely room, comfortable bed, fabulous towels and toiletries. Traditional charm. Good lighting and a well stocked tea tray. Fabulous breakfast choices in the morning.

The Chase Inn, hotel in Great Malvern

Set within the picturesque country village of Bishop's Frome, this bed and breakfast serves award-winning real ales in its circa 100 year old pub.

First Impression poor due to black refuse sacks thrown at the side of the premises. The stale smell of drink was overpowering. Anything I left on the dinning room table stuck to it. Sassy and her approach to customer service was excellent. She was the jewel in the crown.

We had a very pleasant room with a comfortable bed, sitting area and an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was very good and the staff helpful. We had dinner on one night of our stay in an attractive dining room. The food was good but the portions were very large. We also had dinner in the bar one night and found that suited us better.

Location - near the beginning of the path up to Worcesteshire Beacon and lots of good shops and Waitrose. They have parking right next to the hotel. Had a twin room which was large and with a large bathroom with a bath. The breakfast was good - quality ingredients, a real choice of full English but also bagels with smoked salmon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce etc. Good quality comfortable mattress and bedding. Two Indian restaurants very close by! Very happy with our stay.
