Looking for an inn?
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

We booked a stay at the Old Mill Inn last minute after the classic Scottish weather made a camping trip undesirable. We had a great time - loved the rooms and restaurant. Only gripe was the bar wasn’t open very late - but this was probably for the best.

Exceptional on every aspect. The owners are friendly, professional and pay attention to small details. It was really the small things - the tasteful decor, comfortable bed, clean/crisp linens, 4 bottles of waters, free supplies in the bathroom (toothbrush, tooth paste, shower caps, soaps, shampoo). And then the food - was delicious! The presentation of breakfast and dinner was impeccable. Food tasted Michelin star. Overall experience was comparable to a five star hotel.

Tidy modern cottage - living room/ kitchen and double ensuite bedroom downstairs, 3 single beds and a bathroom upstairs (open plan but cleverly segmented for privacy); great deck and views over fields; well located within 6 miles of Nairn and other superb places to visit, and within walking distance of Brodie countryfare (for breakfast) and the Old Mill inn (for dinner). There is also WiFi and ample parking.

Outstanding meals- dinner was delicious, as was breakfast. Staff were very accommodating to our schedule which was impacted by golf tee times.

Review on behalf of my stepdad: Friendly and attentive staff from the beginning, even before arrival! Lovely, comfortable room and beautiful breakfast. Teacake was a nice, little touch.

I had a great experience at the Old Mill Inn. The staff and owners were accommodating, friendly and kind. The breakfast was everything you want, you need and more. The room was cozy, warm and fully of natural light. The Inn is surrounded by green and close to a lovely stream. Whether you go by car or public transportation, it is a great place to explore the area.
