Castle Lodge is ideally located on the doorstep of Ely's historic city centre.

My room was spotless & my bed & pillows were incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of biscuits & tea/coffee making facilities, which was lovely. And breakfast was amazing. My breakfast server was really lovely & got me everything I asked for, including extra biscuits. I was visiting my sisters & will hopefully stay there again next time.

Traditional looking inn from the outside but with lovely, modern, well appointed rooms inside. A very nice, open dining area with tables well separated.

I first stayed at the Riverside about 12 years ago, my memories of that stay were very positive and no doubt influenced my decision to return rather than try another guest house. An excellent choice I have to say and have repeated congratulated myself on my decision. I have rather belatedly glanced through the reviews and not found a bad one, that tells you all you need to know.

Beautiful old house with a good location. Breakfast was good apart from the incessant coughing of the guest house owner shaking the tables. The room was in need of serious renovation but was clean.

The room was a small double, so it was compact but very comfortable indeed. Good choice of main courses on the dinner menu. Our meal took a while to arrive but was very good when it did. We enjoyed our meal and the service was always attentive. Breakfast (included) was also very good.

Breakfast was not included although it was offered but at a latter time in the morning which was not convenient for us as we wanted two full days visiting Cambridge. Therefore, we took breakfast in Cambridge, 'on the go'. The Inn was clean and tidy and the staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend the High Flyer.
