We were in the area for work and stayed Sunday night. We arrived late for Sunday lunch and the staff were really nice and nothing was a problem. The food was fantastic and good value. We were very impressed with the room on the top floor. Very big, lovely spacious bathroom with bath tub and separate shower. We would have loved to explore the area, but we only had time to have a quick walk…but what a walk! It is right next to some stunning views and rocks and we saw plenty of wild ponies. Just magical. The breakfast was also fabulous and the staff super friendly. Would love to come and stay for a longer break and explore the area. 100% recommend.

Freddie the manager was awesome. I was stranded in Budleigh Saltern, in the evening, no bus or taxi available. I called King's Head for help, in desperation. Freddie went above and beyond all.my expectations to help me. Thank you so much!

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful enough for me. There were tea and coffee facilities. The mattresss was firm, as I like and pillows were also good (and there were plenty of them). The wifi was fast and free. There was a working TV in the room but I didn't use it. There was also a mounted hairdryer in the bathroom which worked well enough to dry my long hair. I slept well, once I had gotten to sleep (see what I didn't like ooops!). The breakfast was very nice and comprehensive, apart from the coffee (see below). I was offered a cooked breakfast but I didn't have time, however the options were marvellous. Parking was free and there were many spaces available in the car park behind the pub. It was a perfect location both for work and for me to get a fab run in before heading off.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
What a lovely guest house close to the beach at Holcombe.,via quite a steep hill!
Very comfortable and well equipped.
Tasty and welcome cream tea on arrival from Donna.
We liked the convenience we liked the location
But the caravan has major maintenance issues
The bedroom walls were thick with black mould
We had the windows open daily
I told the owner there was a broken handle on window and tap these were attended too . but not the leak in the kitchen... which I informed him of .I believe it ran along the underside of the caravan and made the first bedroom inner wall damp...
I wanted a quiet, comfortable, non-generic place to stay. I had part of an old house to myself. The bedroom was comfortable, there was a big bathroom/loo, and if I had wanted to use it there was a nice sitting room downstairs. I had sinner at a nice restaurant near the sea.
the location was great the only issue i found was when parking my car would catch the bottom has parking up would be a problem for cars that have lowered suspension. views where great nice has not looked down on
The tinned tomatoes almost all more selection of bread also do not overcook bacon and get a better sausage, and have staff behind the counter at all times.
