A very spacious place in beautiful grounds. Large car parking area on site. The room was a good size with a modern clean bathroom. Breakfast was substantial with a good range of food to eat and a freshly cooked option. Dinner was also very well presented. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Handy for visiting Exeter.

Both the overall standard of the hotel and our room in particular were very comfortable - a lovely bar and restaurant and the food was very good; only one small criticism is that I had the garlic and mushroom Tagliatelle on our first night and if the mushrooms had been sliced much thinner rather than into large quarters, it would have finessed the dish somewhat.

The hotel is modern bright and airy in the public areas. A decent menu for dinner which we all enjoyed including the fish pie, rhubarb and pear crumble, creme brulee. Good full English breakfast too.

The bed was very soft and comfortable. Breakfast had good selections of food, could possibly add some black pudding. I booked 5 rooms for my relatives to stay 2 nights at your hotel. Overall we were satisfied and happy. However I have to mention this. We had dinner in your Ripley's Restaurant on our first night. The food was excellent! From starters to the main course and desserts. This was beyond our expectations. Compliments to the chef. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly too.

The staff were amazing as well as the locals who frequent the Inn for drinks post work. They all made me 'feel at home' as I was travelling by self. Top place, top people! Very accommodating and made me feel welcome.

Rustic village inn. Landlady Jo and staff really welcoming and friendly. Our dog was made very welcome too. Had an evening meal in the pub which was nice. Traditional pub grub. Stayed 1 night en route to Cornwall which was ideal. One criticism/recommendation is that the bedding could do with being renewed. duvet and pillows felt like they’d seen better days as did the bedding. Other than that totally met our needs and would stay again
