The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast options were great and very tasty, especially the full Yorkshire breakfast.
Great location for exploring York!
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The bedroom was large and very comfortable with all amenities. The dinner was very well cooked and there was plenty of choice.
The breakfast was equally as good as the dinner, and the service cannot be faulted.
Lovely room with lots of extra goodies, huge bathroom with both bath and shower.
Bed was also enormous.
Staff very friendly although felt a little stiff during dinner, they looked like they couldn't relax and not very chatty.
Food was very good great selection.
Breakfast was also very nice.
Lovely place for a quiet night on the way back to Manchester after walking part of The Cleveland Way. A real treat. Everyone you encounter is helpful and seem to really enjoy working there. I didn't eat dinner but the fabulous breakfast made me wish I had.
We loved; the cosy cottage which was beautifully presented, the lovely bathroom with L'occitaine products, the delicious breakfast, the exceptional dinner with friendly, helpful service and all the little 'extras' in the room which were such a lovely touch. Made it a very special stay!
Food was great but accomodation a little rustic for £160 per night
