An attractive and atmospheric pub, yards from the waterside, in a peaceful village, with several places to eat and drink nearby. Our 'family' room was pleasant and comfortable.

We were in Buckingham room. All very clean and tidy. The room has all the comforts of home: good shower with all toiletries. Nice big towels. Fresh bedding. Fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster and plenty of continental breakfast supplies. Comfortable sitting room. All very nice.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Location just off the A12. Ease of free parking. Speedy check-in. Bar prices reasonable. Lovely bar staff. High-quality dinner included in the price. Clean leisure facilities.
Family room (refurbished): superb!
Lots of little extras.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. My son and I stayed for one night and had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The food was very good. We didn't use any other facilities but the room was very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly, efficient, nice room, good food (both dinner and breakfast), happy to store a bottle in their fridge for us, heating did go on in the morning which started cool (an unreliable summer). Happy to take us for one night on a summer weekend, when others would not.
Good location with an EV charger. Quiet and comfortable. The dinner was decent but breakfast options were limited. Cooked breakfast only really and staff were struggling to keep up with demand.
We had driven from North Devon to Colchester, a long journey in the car. Upon arrival we checked in and had sadly missed out on dinner at the hotel because we arrived after the closing time for the restaurant. Being tired and travel weary, it was a total delight to be informed that the hotel had chosen to upgrade our room to a suite. I have never been made to feel so welcome before and the room was perfect.
Food was good. Had dinner and breakfast. Staff knowledgeable and experienced. Decor and fixtures and fittings of a good standard .
Opposite entrance to long stay car park .
Well positioned in city centre.
Not over priced.
