Good-sized & clean rooms which were very dog-friendly. Great location in a very quiet spot, only 2 miles from M5 Carlisle junction. Excellent food in the pub restaurant which was also dog-friendly. Good sized garden to exercise them! Friendly staff & good value for money. We used The Queens as an overnight stop heading north and would definitely return!

Really nice inn with a fantastic owner and phenomenal staff. They were super accommodating with me, and both the dinner and breakfast were great, really good portions and super tasty. The room was perfect for one person and very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The locals were also very helpful regarding bus timetables, which was highly appreciated.

Could not sleep the ceiling above our room creaking most of the night.and people trying to get in room across from us twice.3.30 and around 4.30 am.had the lamd dinner .not cooked and so tuff.so sent back.could not have breakfast as no dogs allowed.good jod we was only there one night as nothing to eat for 24 hours.will no return.
A great village inn - service (Chloe) fantastic, atmosphere encouraged interaction between guests, really good beer on tap and then an excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet. A perfect end to our UK holiday!
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced, with a different special "offer" on week nights. Plenty of free parking for guests.
Conveniently located off the M6. Lovely, friendly, cosy accommodation. Delightful olde worlde coaching inn with modern feel. The food and service was excellent
A wonderful rustic inn with staff as warm and friendly and the inn itself. The meal was delicious and the ale cold. If you want somewhere away from the bustle of town, this is the place.
