A former 18th-century Customs House, The Anglesey Arms is a traditional tavern is built into the walls of Caernarfon Castle. The hotel overlooks the harbour entrance, offering stunning views across the Menai Straits to Anglesey.

This is the place for me, 18th Century building with its own personality. Felt at home, relaxed, comfy and well looked after with Andrea, Ruth and other members of staff. Breakfast was from local producers & cooked impeccably. Lunch, Dinner & Cavalry was a credit to Chef and his staff. Absolute pleasure. Have to mention local group " The Rain Dodgers" & lead singer Neville, = excellent performance & a credit to the Anglesey Arms.

Hotel was brilliant and staff were extremely lovely, especially our waiter for dinner, Sam. Bar and social areas of hotel were nice, and the pool area. Sauna and steam room were great.

The location and the views were lovely. View straight out to the water and Anglesey. Nearby restaurant that serves the Premier Inn (Table Table) was great for dinner and a drink overlooking the marina. The owner was helpful and friendly and available when we called. Great base for exploring snowdonia, Angelsey, Llyn Peninsula . Easy to get to. Morrisons supermarket 5 minutes walk, easy to walk into town and the castle.

No fuss, no frills guest house. Exactly as advertised. Read various reviews about the Tegfan and booked it because the likes of Premier Inn were more than double the price. Perfectly adequate room with TV and kettle. The shower and toilet were separate but working fine (lovely hot shower). The breakfast served at the Anglesey Arms was just the thing to set you up for the day. Staff were welcoming and friendly too. All in all a good place to stay and I'd have no hesitation staying at the Tegfan again.

Well placed guest house in the centre of Caernarfon. The restarant and bar for Ty Dre are are at the Black Boy Inn (round the corner) and these were fine with a good menu available. It was a very hot weekend during our stay which did cause us some issues as the rooms are not air-conditioned, but the staff did their utmost to try and alleviate the heat as much as they could. The bed in the room was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed.
