We were made to feel very welcome. Paul and Sarah who own Hawthron Farm were friendly and took the time to speak to us regarding the history of the guest house. An amazing breakfast which included fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as a full English.

Very clean and comfortable 4 bedroom house in a central location. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The tradesman's entrance is a great cafe for a hearty breakfast. Thursday night pie night at the Old Sun Inn is not to be missed. Great Thai food at the Simply Thai restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawthorn Farm Guest House, the room was cosy and comfortable, perfect for our needs. Paul & Sarah were superb hosts, friendly and welcoming and providing local knowledge of places to eat when we arrived later than planned. Breakfast was great, with so much to choose from and a warm and friendly atmosphere to enjoy it in within the beautiful old farmhouse. Nothing was too much trouble and whilst it was a fleeting visit for us, we would definitely return in the future and recommend to others.

We stayed in Lee Wood Hotel for four nights. The hotel was situated in lovely grounds overlooking the cricket ground and the bowling green. The room was very clean with a lovely bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 'Lazy Gardener' dining room was a lovely place to have breakfast and dinner and the food was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Peak District.

Excellent stay, very grand but surprisingly good value. Had to pay extra for parking 5pound which we didn’t mind, but it’s a shame wifi not included. Dinner was great, whole place was charming.

The booking process was good and the location of the hotel was fine. The food was OK but not exceptional. Drinks were nicely priced at £4.50 for a pint of Carlsberg. The interior architecture of the interior is spectacular an inheritance of its Victorian beginnings.
