Lovely location with about a 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Grasmere. The room was cosy and the perfect size for my partner and myself.
Really friendly staff, and very relaxed atmosphere.
Added the breakfast option after we got there and so glad we did, if you have a sweet tooth try the pancakes! We also ate in the restaurant for dinner on the first night and the food was delicious.
Thank you for a great stay! ❤️

Lovely breakfast. Location easy for Keswick or Ullswater.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Excellent position for walks in the Lake District with our dog (Bobby). Lovely staff and gorgeous food. Exceptional breakfast. We’ve stayed before when it was known as The Fish Inn (historical property). The rooms are freshly decorated and clean. Local beers and attentive bar service.
The location was great, the area is really peaceful and there's so many fantastic mountains and views to see. The 77 loops around to Keswick and that was very convenient for such a remote feeling place. Syke farm and and the Bridge Inn are good alternatives for lunch or a meal too.
Excellent. Both had eggs Florentine for breakfast. It was a nice touch to get make your own pack lunches free of charge. Good range of drinks in the bar which was busy with external visitors and residents. Dinner choices appeared basic on the menu but actually the homemade aspects were really good - eg the double beef burger made with local beef. Definitely a recommendation. Bathroom was very clean and modern.
Staff extremely friendly and offered me directions for my planned walking routes the next day. Big building with self catering facilities, plenty of loos and showers.
Food (dinner and breakfast) was very nice and in line with other YHA hostels I’ve stayed at.
Big spacious lounge with superb views. Good location for hiking.
We rested here after climbing Scaffell Pike. The hotel had everything we needed to recover from the long hike. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the shower/bath had luxurious toiletries. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the room rate. It was a tasty and generous portion. Thank you for the perfect stay!
Perfect location with friendly staff. Great breakfast made to order and a takeaway snack box included for when you are out and about. Decent dinner menu with a nice pub garden for when the sun is out. Guaranteed parking for guests is also nice in a busy place.
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. The dinner was excellent too.
Great location for walkers. You can start a lot of walks direct from the Hotel.
