The Fox is a 15th-century inn, around 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Bury St Edmunds. It offers a high standard of bed and breakfast accommodation alongside its popular restaurant and bar with pretty terrace beer garden.

Room was spacious and charming. Loved the included breakfast & variety. Friendly helpful staff, esp. Paul. Shower and heated mirror were nice. Location was great, across from Abbey Garden, short walk to shops, restaurants, farmer's market, Cathedral.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff are so helpful, Roast dinner was the best I've tasted in years, Breakfast is huge. We had the Saxon Room, the 4 poster bed is very high, so if you are short you'll need a step ladder lol, but it was beautiful and clean and very quiet.

Nice location for Bury st Edmunds and good parking. Chose to go out for Dinner - We wet into town (good 20 minute walk) by car and there are plenty of varying cost eateries. Town is really nice.

+ we had a lovely holiday as a family + setting - absolutely beautiful, surrounded by fields of flowers and frolicking lambs and next to a National Trust house. + we were upgraded to the main house which meant we had access to baby monitors during dinner. + generally child-friendly + nice to have access to the pool + had a great massage in the spa
