The staff were really friendly and I had very low expectations as the price was so reasonable ~ it turned out to be a little gem tucked away in a quiet village

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. We had drinks in the bar which had a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately we couldn't have dinner there due to our friends (who we were meeting) having a dog. Neither my husband or I eat breakfast. The views of the surrounding countryside are lovely. Nice driving along the quiet country lanes.

Train station just a 2 minute walk away. Perfect to get into the city.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Very friendly staff and a very well maintained hotel throughout. Breakfast is excellent. The dinner menu is a bit limited but the options to eat and drink nearby are manifold.
Another great stay at The Kings Head, our third time this year. The whole experience is always a pleasure with the good fortune of being looked after at dinner by Max and Lucy at check in and breakfast, both go the extra mile to make you feel valued as a guest. Already planning our next visit!
Wide choice of juices and cereals, good range of freshly cooked hot breakfasts. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Windmill Inn is an ideal location in the town centre
So cute! Definitely an inn. So much character and warmth! The staff was AMAZING! Lottie, Owen, Lucy, Cora, just to name a few. They felt like family to us by the time we left. Incredibly helpful, kind, welcoming, and accommodating. I would absolutely stay there again!
The hotel was beautiful and staff were always available to help! We were a very large party (20+) they were able to accommodate us in a seperate room in the evenings so we had privacy and other guests weren’t disturbed - winner winner ! So good in fact that we gave all booked again for next year !!
