Location! Location! Location! Wonderful small inn located in a wonderful Yorkshire village. The inn can be reached by foot, bus or car. We walked there and enjoyed a delicious dinner before retiring to a really, lovely bedroom looking out over the Yorkshire Dales. Very clean. Very quiet. Very restful.

This lovely hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was amazing, the food delicious. Early breakfast was laid on. I was late back from a long day's hill walking, I phoned ahead and an excellent dinner was there waiting. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. I can in all honesty say that it is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I do not exaggerate.

Everything was perfect. The room accommodated our family of four, and included a bag of brownies, and a fridge with drinks and treats. The restaurant food was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast.

The house itself is spectacular and staff work hard to make this a special place to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The fire was always roaring and logs were continuously added as we sat by the fire. Restaurant is a very high calibre although dinner was expensive and left you with room for more. Breakfast was excellent however.
