This hotel dates from the Tudor period, but the inside reflects the very best in modern design. It is featured in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, as well as the TV show Midsomer Murders.

With hundreds of years of history (Oliver Cromwell once stayed here), The Kings Arms Hotel is ideal for a romantic getaway.

A lovely country hotel with very modern rooms to stay! Would definitely come again.

Situated in Amersham, 16 km from Cliveden House, THE SARACENS HEAD INN features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a bar. This 3-star inn offers luggage storage space. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and free WiFi.

Firstly, the location is great. Right in the centre of the old town. Full of beautiful, old, charming buildings. The Saracens Head Inn is a wonderful, traditionally British pub, complete with low beam ceilings and classic British pub bar, stools, chairs. We haven't been back to the UK for more than 5 years and we absolutely loved staying in an old Inn, reminiscent of growing up in rural Gloucestershire. The actual pub area brought back memories of working in a pub a few decades ago, cleaning the brass, washing glasses, clearing the beer drip trays. Love that smell. Full of friendly locals having a pint and chatting about their day with staff who were engaging and happy. The room we were in was very spacious, lots of space for a good size double bed, a couple of comfy chairs, full length mirror, place to hand your towel, wardrobe. Coffee machine as well as a kettle. Good size teacups, plenty of supplies and absolutely delicious biscuits. Everything thoughtfully put together.Good size showerroom with full body size towels and complimentary toiletries. We were very late to breakfast, and realised we've probably missed it. However, the chef made us a delicious bacon and sausage sandwich and plenty of tea, coffee and orange juice. Very grateful he still made sure we had a good breakfast. I forgot to ask his name, but he was very friendly, helpful and clearly a hard worker.

Dating back to the 18th century and set in a picturesque location overlooking Chipperfield Common, this countryside retreat exudes character and charm.

The Two Brewers is just minutes from the M25 and has 20 en suite bedrooms, all with the comforts you would expect from a quality hotel. The hotel has a renowned Chef & Brewer restaurant, as well as meeting facilities for up to 14 people.

The place was wonderful. Lots of peace and quiet. We stayed there after a week in London. It was like walking into a novel, very charming indeed. The staff were warm and friendly. Especially Coral. The meals were a great size and delicious, well priced too. A good choice of ales. The village itself is really nice, with plenty of old world charm. We drove to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Not far away.

Great hotel and highly recommended, and I'll be staying again.

Located in Amersham's Old Town, the Saracens Inn exudes old-world charm, with its rustic decor and exposed beams creating an inviting ambiance into the pub. Our room boasted a large and incredibly comfortable four-poster bed. The staff were helpful and friendly, explaining us the quirks of the vintage toilet mechanism (no, it's not broken!) Additionally, full English breakfast prepared by the staff was a delicious treat, setting us up for the day ahead. Excellent location to visit old Amersham and hike in the Chilterns.

Wonderful room. Beamed ceiling and the Inn itself had huge character. John cooked a fantastic breakfast. 20 minute walk to Amersham tube station up a hill and through the woods. Or you can get a taxi for a £5. Got back from London too late for the Restaurant but there is an excellent Indian just a walk away. Great stay would highly recommend

The hotel was well located. Parking awkward because of gas works in road (at the time). The hotel was very atmospheric which was lovely but meant the ceilings and doorways were very low for my tall husband! Also very creaky floorboards in bedroom, unavoidable for an inn of this age.

Steeped in history, old beams and creaky floor boards. Room was minimal decorated with bare wooden floorboards, comfortable king size bed and spacious ensuite bathroom, with soaps ,shampoos and piping hot water. The room we had was in the main hotel inn at the front facing the main road, which due to double glazing kept noise levels to a minimum.
