The guys who worked there were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The food was delicious and came really quickly which was great as we were eating before going out to meet friends. The pub had a friendly feel. The pub was well set out downstairs and upstairs our room was clean and well equipped with a nice bed, coffee/tea and ensuite shower. It was excellent value for money.

In every the host tried very hard to make our stay indeed enjoyable and memorable. They could not have done more for us. The room and meals were first class. We would highly recommend any others travelers to this region to consider staying here - at The Old Bell. We are from Australia but will definitely come back here next year when we are traveling in England.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The breakfast and dinner menus had some good choices and included veggie options. All cooking was done to a high standard.
Our room provided all the facilities we expected.
Room 117 was in The Proiry building was fantastic and it was one of the newly refurbished room and Zara on reception actually recognised me from when I visited their sister hotel the King's Arms about a month ago when I had dinner with my friends who were staying there. Great hotel and highly recommended, and I'll be staying again.
Located in Amersham's Old Town, the Saracens Inn exudes old-world charm, with its rustic decor and exposed beams creating an inviting ambiance into the pub. Our room boasted a large and incredibly comfortable four-poster bed. The staff were helpful and friendly, explaining us the quirks of the vintage toilet mechanism (no, it's not broken!) Additionally, full English breakfast prepared by the staff was a delicious treat, setting us up for the day ahead. Excellent location to visit old Amersham and hike in the Chilterns.
Wonderful room. Beamed ceiling and the Inn itself had huge character. John cooked a fantastic breakfast. 20 minute walk to Amersham tube station up a hill and through the woods. Or you can get a taxi for a £5. Got back from London too late for the Restaurant but there is an excellent Indian just a walk away. Great stay would highly recommend
The hotel was well located. Parking awkward because of gas works in road (at the time). The hotel was very atmospheric which was lovely but meant the ceilings and doorways were very low for my tall husband! Also very creaky floorboards in bedroom, unavoidable for an inn of this age.
Room was lovely, breakfast choices are really varied. Dinner in the hotel was really nice. A fire in the bar area as well as reception would have been nice.
