Well known for its real ale range and busy bar, The Tap also serves lunch daily, evening food Monday to Saturday and a great roast on Sundays. With nowhere else to house the animals, the proprietor of the local inn offered an invaluable dog-sitting service and the venue became known as the Dog House.

We had a wonderful meal when we arrived, not too long to wait. Enjoyed the room. We could sit inside or out at the dinning and drinking areas. Very close to beauty spots and Oxford.

We expected that the hotel would be quite noisy, especially as we had a room beside the beer garden and close to the road. However this was never an issue. We also thought the hotel may have been a bit far from the High street, but it was an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. And to stroll along the river was quite idyllic.

I liked this hotel very much. It's small and cozy and situated in the center of Oxford. Very convinient accomodation. If I visit Oxford one more time I'll definitely stay at Old Black Horse Inn.
