Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff are charming and helpful. The beds are comfy and the rooms very clean and well outfitted. The view is spectacular overlooking the St. Lawrence. They serve a wonderful continental breakfast including delicious homemade muffins and banana bread. I can only travel in the winter and I haven't stayed anywhere that offers breakfast in the off season winter. Thank you so much Dewar Inn and Cottages. I'll be back next winter!
We find it a good stopover when we are traveling east. This was our second visit. The location is right on the St. Lawrence River. The garden area leading to the deck area is lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the Muskoka chairs along the edge of the river. Dewar's Inn is located about a 3-4 minute drive from Prescott. A continental breakfast is also included. So great value 😃
We had an easy contact-less check in. The inn was right beside the river, and there was a large deck with tables so we could take our dinner out there to eat. There was also a smaller outdoor table just outside our room. The gardens were stunning, gorgeous to look at. Breakfast was very nice in the morning. I don't know how much there is to do nearby, as we were continuing north the next day, but it was a wonderful place to stay just across the border.

the available grills made it simple to prepare a lovely little dinner on site.
Quiet and very comfortable, we were very happy with this Inn. The cleanliness and comfort could not have been any better.
At the end of an exhausting day of preparation and travel, the beds and bedding were uncompromised. We had a fantastic sleep.
5 star Inn. Beautiful location...Very neat and clean ...kind and helpful Staff.
The breakfast was excellent specially their Muffins.
Highly recommended and Will be a frequent visitor for sure.
