We are a Micro-Farm situated close to the town where we invite our guests to come and join us in the day to day runnings of the farm and/or simply relax while you are staying with us. Our farming practices follow the Conservation Agriculture practices where we do not plough the soil, we blanket the land do not spray chemicals and use the animals (who are so excited to meet you all) to simulate a wild environment which brings so much additional wildlife onto our 3ha plot. We are also caretakers of the endangered Midlands Dwarf Chameleon though they can be hard to spot sometimes, we do have lots of them.

In Northern Ireland a Blow-In Farmer is someone who has not come from farming stock, which is my background with parents who both had city jobs. My love for agriculture developed in 2010 when I was filming a farming conference and during lockdown I began to farm full-time when I lost my cinematography company, not a bad thing because feeding people brings such joy. My passion has now flowed over into wanting to teach others how simple farming can be and that you do not need much land to grow your own vegetables or keep a small flock of chickens for eggs. This is why we decided to open the farm up to the public to come and see what we are up to.

The Howick area is the start of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. We have the Howick Falls, the Karkloof Canopy Tours, the Nelson Mandela Capture sight which then leads onto the Midlands Meander. Wonderful day trips can be had visiting the many shops along the route. We are also closely situated to Hilton College, Michaelhouse and St Anne's. We are a 30 minute drive to Pietermaritzburg, a 1 hour 20 minute drive to Durban and about 1 hours drive to Underberg.
