Candice was a wonderful host who went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable. A special mention needs to be made about the deliciously creamy farm-fresh milk that Candice provided!

Such a homely, unpretentious and genuine place to stay. Down a long (ish) farm track off the main road, settled in a quiet and beautiful garden, this is the best place we have stayed so far on our trip. If you want 5 Star bling and marble...

Experience a slow pace of country life at its best. Ideal for family holidays, weekend getaways or overnight stops. Bring your mountain bikes and explore the many farm roads. The Pot River which runs through the farm is a mere 600m from the Main House. Bring your mountain bikes and explore the many farm roads. Hike the surrounding mountains, view some historical Bushman paintings or take a leisurely stroll around the dam and maize lands. The Pot River which runs through the farm is a mere 600 m from the Main House, ideal for tubing and swimming. It also supports a very healthy stock of wild rainbow trout. There are a variety of options to fish, from narrow deep pols to wide slow meandering sections, to the exiting riffles and rapids where nymph fishing can be highly rewarding. River access is easy on foot and there are roads to various upstream and downstream sections. The farm is conveniently situated close to some of the highest altitude gravel passes of the Eastern Cape Highlands which are any 4x4 enthusiast or motorbiker's dream. Situated on a working farm below the picturesque Southern Drakensberg Mountains. Sheeprun is 16km (of which 4km is gravel road) from Maclear on the R56 towards Mount Fletcher.
An adeventurous travelling nomad who has settled in one of the most beautiful areas in South Africa. Loves hiking, cycling, camping and anything outside in nature. Also loves meeting new people and hearing about their adventures....
Maclear is a small rural town just 16km from Sheeprun. A grocery store, bank, take-aways, garage and coffee-shop is available all on the Main Street.
