Energetic and complex, Baltimore belongs to the select group of historic cities along the east coast of the United States. Located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, it’s the birthplace of the National Anthem. It has a lively nightlife, picturesque neighbourhoods, and modern entertainment areas. Its large number of African American population had an important role during the days of the Civil Rights movements.
Founded in 1729, its strategic location in an arm of the Chesapeake Bay rapidly transformed it into an important trading port. The historical site of Fort McHenry is well known for its role during the War of 1812 with the British Empire.
The city has numerous neighbourhoods that still maintain a quaint atmosphere. Fells Point is famous for its 18th and 19th-century architecture, cobbled streets, typical pubs, and plenty of restaurants. Some of the best inns and hotels in Baltimore are located here, while a more local feeling and great accommodation can also be found in Federal Hill and Midtown.
The Inner Harbor is a lively area where tourists can find modern venues and live concerts. Most Baltimore hotels are located in the Harbor, while the business district has also a wide variety of accommodation.

Baltimore has become a really clean, vibrant city with plenty of night life and great restaurants. The downtown harbor area is lovely. We usually whizz through but plan on spending more time here in the future to try the restaurants and take in the sights.

It had been 30 yrs since our last visit on business travel.
It had been 30 yrs since our last visit on business travel. It has really changed. There is construction everywhere including proposed future demolition of shops at Inner Harbor. If you drive be prepared to pay high hotel parking fees, lots of traffic and parking issues. If not, be prepared to do lots of walking and use public Charm free buses.

I did my residency in Bmore and lived there for 6 years, so perhaps that is why it is not my favorite. There are areas that are quite “charming” but then others that are quite scary. The drug scene is still raging and they need to offer better programs to aid the homeless. Great healthcare and graduate programs at University of Maryland/Shock Trauma. There are decent restaurants, but it’s sad that so many of the ones I loved are now closed. I don’t mind traveling there now for work, but I would probably never live there again.

Enjoyed by the harbor, Aquarium is great.
Enjoyed by the harbor, Aquarium is great. Not enough time to explore, plan on staying 2 days next time. Found other attractions later missed seeing. Will be back. Will look for a hotel closer as well. Got to see the Perivian ship that was docked in the harbor for free.

The stay was awful.
The stay was awful. Lost our reservation and gave it to another guest, we were supposed to have a harbor view and got a view of a brick wall. The bathroom in the room was filthy and there was a hairy bar of used soap left in the shower. Our AMEX had attempted charges every night for hundreds of dollars, after paying in full at check in along with incidentals. I was told it was an accounting error. We were supposed to get a refund for our experience, which has still not happened. There are signs, and even a special elevator for a rooftop bar that doesn't exist. Terrible experience, will never stay there again.

Baltimore was fun.
Baltimore was fun. We were there for the Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks concert. There was also the MLB Playoffs for the orioles against the Texas Rangers this weekend. There were tons of people out and lots to do. We went to the National Aquarium which I highly recommend. As we were leaving there was an armed robbery next to us lol. Just be careful if you go here.
The hotel is in a prime location in Baltimore's arts district with plenty of history in every building and step, while the hotel is situated inside a historic residence, but is tastefully modern in its interior design. The rooms are spacious and the room we had featured a writing desk that was a decorative room feature in itself. The reading chair by the window was also special/comfy. This was really an exceptionally done hotel, and everyone of the staff we interacted with were excellent!
I would live in the Sheraton if I could. All services were handled in an efficient and pleasant fashion. The only downer for that location is that Baltimore Inner Harbor and Harbor Place are so economically depressed. The infrastructure of the city is really in bad shape, roads, sidewalks, etc. Many "zebra" crosswalks are almost invisible and very few have crossing signal buttons. Warn visitors about Lexington Market and environs.
The Lord Baltimore is a historic hotel, within 10 minutes walk of the main Baltimore tourist sites, including the Harbor. It is easily accessible via the Subway and the Purple line bus, which is free and takes you directly from the train station every 10 minutes. Hotel is excellent for accessibility. The room had all advertised amenities and staff were pleasant. The hotel was very quiet and I enjoyed a good nights sleep.
The location was great. It was a 5-minute walk to the inner harbor. This is a beautiful hotel. Rooms were big. My teens loved the bathroom..lol Not only was the bathroom spacious, but the shower was as well. Breakfast was great, so many choices. I like that you needed to scan your key card in the elevator, then push the floor number. Added safety measure. At check out, the employee was funny and helpful.
Sherif and the whole staff were wonderful. We were in Baltimore for the football game with our teenage son and four of his friends. Sherif accommodated us in every way including an early check-in on the top floor with 2 of the best rooms. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The prime location was great for visiting the inner harbor and close to the stadium. We would highly recommend this hotel.
We were visiting overnight to go to a concert. The hotel was perfectly situated within walking distance to inner harbor, dining and the venue. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was amazing! Every amenity was available. We called at 1pm and was able to get an earlier check in than the 3pm we were promised.
The main areas of the property like the lobby, bar and Starbucks were really nice. The room was fairly modern, but could use some updates and repair(new carpet, damaged wall, deteriorating amenities overall). I also love how close the hotel is to everything in
the inner harbor area
Very convenient location to go to CFG Arena and Inner Harbor. The suites are fairly quiet (except for the noise of the doors closing, something very common in hotels) and are equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and all the necessary dishes for cooking something simple.
Perfect for walking around the city & Inner Harbor. Lovely, friendly staff and satisfying breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable although the mattress could have been more firm. Sensational overall and will definitely stay at Staybridge Suites again on our return in 2024!
Hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
Only negative is the the hotel is not as close to Inner Harbor or other attractions as advertised. Overall it was an enjoyable stay in Baltimore.
Motel style hotel refurbished, everything is new in the room. Very good new towels. Room service every day. By car, it is ok to stay here and visit Baltimore. Trash cans in the bedroom, including bins for recyclable trash.
The location to the Inner Harbor and surrounding neighborhoods was convenient. It was a short walk, or short bus/light rail ride to tons of restaurants, shopping, historical landmarks, and cocktails.
The location to the Inner Harbor is great as everything is within walking distance if you are doing things around there. The hotel is very old and is showing its age but it felt clean enough.
Honestly the only good thing about this hotel is the location. You’re in Inner Harbor/Downtown Baltimore. It can be sketchy but once you get to the harbor it’s nice.
Very clean hotel, almost everything brand new. Friendly staff and security at front is a nice add. Comfortable. Walked to Camden Yards and Inner Harbor easily.
the room was fine the location was a short walk to the inner harbor not alot of places close to eat and the hotel restaurant was just chicken which was weird
