The room was very clean and roomy. Our King size bed was comfortable and soft. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to enjoy a patio concert on the property.

This is an unexpected treasure in a sea of touristy hotels and chain restaurants. The only comment would be the stairs! Our room was on the top floor and the stairs are steep. I had my small dog with me and going up and down multiple times was a challenge for my 70-yr. old knees. Otherwise, everything was cozy and delightful.

Our show at the Van Wezel was going to end after kitchen closed. Staff went above and beyond to take food order and deliver it to fridge in the room while we were at the show. This made for a nice snack -- to go along with the complimentary bottle of wine -- upon our return to the room after the show.

The young lady with the tattoos (we didn't catch her name) was so so friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of tips for the local area and beyond, ensured we had water for our trip when we vacated and was just generally a joy. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room decor was beautiful and stylish. There was complimentary wine in the room and coffee complimentary to guests in the bar downstairs. Locations was close to a park perfect for viewing sunset, a decent Mexican restaurant just up the Road, a short uber or walk into downtown and shirt drive to the Ringling. There's a restaurant on site if you wish to eat there. We only had breakfast. Parking free and easy

It was as amazing as it can be. Historical building with charming feeling from the beginning. Chris and Gigi, you are great, guys, you made our stay sooo pleasant. Big room, comfortable mattress, coffee and coffee machine. It’s about 15-20 min to Siesta Key. Highly recommend!!!

The owners and staff were very friendly and personable. It had a restaurant and coffee shop on premises, as well as sells domestic and craft beers and wine. The free bottle of wine was a nice touch and they allowed my wife to swap it for something that she really likes. Although the coffee shop is open to the public, the coffee is free for guests. It is conveniently located about 1 mile from downtown, so it was easy getting to everything. There is a park across the street that goes to the water for sunsets. Besides their restaurant which is almost like dining in a library (the food was excellent), there is another place 2 blocks away.
