The house is older, but well maintained and very clean. The space is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath basement apartment that is well appointed, it even has a pool table and a full kitchen. The living room seating was extremely comfortable and well maintained. The hosts provided a lot of self-serve foods, including fresh fruit and fresh muffins. The hosts are extremely nice and very helpful.

The size of the room was large as advertised. The selection of pillows from hard to soft and the number of pillows provided was perfect. The breakfast variety was perfect: warm egg omelet with cheese, sausage links, cereal, muffins, oatmeal, etc; something for everyone. I was especially impressed with the guava juice and selection of drinks available: four kinds of juice, coffee, tea, hot coco, milk, water. The kids loved the waffles and my husband, as a self-proclaimed connoisseur of biscuits and gravy, said he would stay here again based on those. The TV selection was great, we were able to catch the hockey playoff games. Having a microwave and fridge was a major bonus, it helped us stay on budget. We did not use the laundry facilities, but having that available makes this a highly desirable location for our next visit. There is a nice, large grassy area in the lot that was perfect for the kids to run off some energy and to play catch. Even the provided lotion smelled great. We also did not need a razor or toothbrush but knowing they are available complementary, if needed, just adds to the total package of a great stay.
Located in the heart of Soldotna, Soldotna Inn offers pet-friendly accommodations in clean and comfortable rooms.

It was a good location. Rooms were large enough for 3 adults and their stuff. Price and Wi-Fi helped us in our decision. Laundry mat and a good grocery store was nearby. Free breakfast.

Great location, super convenient and the house itself was lovely. We booked the double twin room and slept comfortably. The lower level has a shared bathroom but no one else was there during our stay so we enjoyed having the bottom floor to ourselves. Bathroom was clean and I loved the attention to detail, down to the container of qtips & flossers. They had a breakfast card for preferences in the AM for selection and time at 30-min intervals. We made our selections and they went above and beyond with the spread the next morning. Such a nice couple, we enjoyed chatting with them for quite awhile over breakfast and will definitely stay again when in town. Highly recommend this property & Shirley & John!
I looked at some lots, hoping to move there eventually.

It was my first time in Kenai, I like the scenery, planning to come back for another weekend.
I spent my time at the beach walking and watching all those people fishing.
I ate at Louis’s Restaurant. The manager and staff were very pleasant. The food was excellent.

The National wild life center and visitors center were fantastic. The Safeway store had a huge variety & good prices. The fireplace bar & grill was outstanding. Very good breakfast at the Airport. Ravn Air was terrible. Use Grant. They lost our luggage and would not deliver it when they found it. Our flight in was delayed 4 times.

We were on our way back to Anchorage and stayed their 1 night. Plenty of people were fishing. We went to dinner at Paradiso, an Italian, Greek and Mexican restaurant. Food was great. Staff super.
Went for a drive to the old town of Kenai and that was just delightful with its Russian influence in church buildings there and lovely street lamps.
Lots of places to stay on the beach area too.

Not a lot to do in Kenai close to Homer.
Not a lot to do in Kenai close to Homer. Great stop over to chill and we loved Louie’s restaurant.. you’ll meet a lot of the locals here. There is the cleanest Walmart to pick up necessities. Close to Soldotna which has a lot more activities.
This hotel was clean and comfortable and provided easy access to the Kenai River. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The property was nice and quiet throughout the night and the rooms had opening windows to enjoy fresh air.
I definitely was expecting a crummy hotel for only $80 a night. The uptown motel was way nicer than I expected. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were recently updated. Awesome place to crash on a long road trip.
treated like family.Good location away from town. recommend for a great trip to the Kenai Peninsula that a stay at " The Place" is a good choice. I will recommend to family and friends to " The Place".
Very quiet, opposed to some of the hotels we have stayed at, which was very nice! Nice continental breakfast options and felt like we were at home. The hosts were very nice as well; would stay again!
I work in Kenai a few days a month and I always stay here. It is comfortable and quiet. The staff, particularly the lady in the evening, is very nice and helpful.
