The Way to Silicon Valley
San Jose is a symbol of Silicon Valley innovation, and since IBM set up there in the 1940s it has attracted technology giants including eBay, Adobe and Cisco Systems to its sunny streets. The Tech Museum details this, and big brand logos proudly adorn buildings like the HP Pavilion (also called the Shark Tank), home of the NHL team.
The J Lohr Winery is a good spot to forget about work, and California’s Great America theme park rollercoasters provide more high-octane thrills, while younger visitors prefer Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.

The Downtown area is roughly midway between San Francisco Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains and houses the Civic Center, Convention Center and nearby Institute of Contemporary Art. Other museums are the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Winchester Mystery House whose owner kept rebuilding it in an attempt to keep out ghosts, though apparently she may not have succeeded…

The area around the hotel was perfect.
The area around the hotel was perfect. It was close to the office I needed to be at every day, close to some very great restaurants, and close to Fed Ex which I need to do some traveling office work. Frankly, this hotel in the area it is in is awesome. I strongly recommend the Flemingo Hotel to all that need to stay in the area of San Jose.

Food and services were expensive.
Food and services were expensive. I had paid $6 for a brownie from a nearby milk bar next to my hotel and I was prompted to tip for take away. Open air car park next to Westin San Jose was $25 to $30 per night.

San Jose is an expensive place for traveller if you don't have a job. It is not the right city for budget traveller, but it could be paradise for rich people. Stop having daydream, and finding a job is the best way to stay in San Jose.

It was a short stay in San Jose, like I said traffic is very busy. Alot of great restaurants near this hotel. They did have a bar with service for food, but nothing that I wanted. I wanted comfort food, something hot, besides a burger or tacos. Hotel Decor was really nice, if you enter after hours to get inside using other doors beside the front entry, guest must use their room key, great security for keeping unwanted people out. I did see Security walking the parking lot at night and security near the front entrance.

The room was nice but wasn't happy about being charged an extra $100.00 and not told up front that there will be an extra $100.00 because I requested a room downstairs because my brother is an handicap and cannot even go in an elevator due to his vertigo issue.
Appreciated the close proximity to the airport and free hotel parking in their large lot. Also utilized their complimentary airport shuttle with no problems. The surrounding food & coffee shops were nice to have so close by to walk to. Being on the rail line was good for convenience too.
The king room with balcony had a nice view of the pretty pool area. It was a large room with good A/C and bath facilities. Enjoyed watching the giant TV. Was also great to have the fridge & microwave.
We arrived late after a night game at Cal. The Front Desk Representative was extraordinarily helpful to our weary selves. Very kind and courteous. I’m very thankful that she was there to assist us get checked in quickly to get some sleep before an early flight the next morning. The room was clean and comfortable. Great place to stay that was very close to the San José Airport.
I’m so picky that I rarely leave reviews but this hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Low rate for downtown, feels new and euro, safe walking distance (blocks) to everything, comfy beds, spotless well equipped bath and room, friendly professional staff, yummy breakfast, hot and cold water station near room. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to San Jose!
Very nice hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious with bedroom separated in another room. Very clean and comfortable size beds. Also a pullout in the bedroom and another in the living room. View of the pool. Very small balcony. The staff was great and polite. Near the San Jose Airport and very convenient.
Great value for money. Excellent room. Much larger than I expected. Breakfast was also much nicer than what u have come to expect from the hotels in the US.
Very neat and clean. Carpet in the hotel was clean and not run down or dirty as i have noticed in some other properties in the past.
For a one night stay before catching a flight out of San Jose airport this hotel is ideal. Staff at the front desk upon check-in were very nice (a young Indian fellow) and gave us a room facing out to the back. It was quiet and large enough, though dated and somewhat worn. Decently clean.
I enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to the night life and events in downtown. The beds we're nice and the room was overall clean with no complaints. Cleaning service always came in in midday and kept it that way too without messing too much with my personal items.
The size and cleanliness are perfect. And breakfast is also good. Dinner at the bar was delicious, and the staff were very nice.
I would like to use this hotel again when I go to Silicon Valley.
It's so nice , that I went to Texas and searched out an Element Hotel to stay in . If there's an Element in the cities I go to, I'm booking my stay there from now on :)
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown San Jose. A short walk away from the restaurants and bars. The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable
