Bed and Breakfast with Gardens and an Apple Orchard on the South Shore of Lake Superior in beautiful Bayfield, Wisconsin! We have four guest rooms, each with a private bathroom. Each bathroom has a double whirlpool tub and hand held shower. Our open porch is great for early morning coffee or evening gatherings with friends. We serve a full breakfast every morning of breads, juices, fresh fruit, egg entrees and hot beverages. We cheerfully accommodate gluten free, vegan or other eating issues. Just let us know.
Lucy's Place is the former residence of the late Lucy Shovick, a lifelong resident of Bayfield. Her home, built in the late 1800's, was renovated in 1999 and is ready for your Lake Superior vacation. Lucy's Place has a relaxing porch with a bird's eye view of the ferry as it makes it way across Lake Superior to Madeline Island. Lucy's Place offers beautiful summertime gardens and a small apple orchard. Lucy's Place is within walking distance of Bayfield's fine shops, resturants and the ferry to Madeline Island. Lucy's Place serves a full breakfast, consisting of homemade muffins and breads, fresh fruit (local Bayfield fruits in season), hot entree and beverages. Your hosts are Barb and Bruce Hoekstra, innkeepers for the last rwenty years and eager to start their 21st season.
Bayfield WI is the gateway to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Come and discover Lake Superior, the greatest of the Great Lakes. Kayak, sail or narrated cruise are just the beginning of your adventure.
