As a native NY’er I try to get up to the city often, this trip was for my birthday. I was in a BAD situation staying with an old friend and had to get another place ASAP. Went on Booking.com and figured I’d have to fork over the big $$$$ for a decent room for one night. PLUS, it was way before check in time (3pm), but when I told Odelis at the front desk what I’d just gone through, he put his hand on my arm and said, “I got you”. He did. Got me a clean, cute room on the top floor, in the corner. Nicely furnished, lovely bathroom. Older place that’s been renovated (and they were painting the walls), rooftop area where some other guests and myself had a little Eclipse viewing party. They have a breakfast buffet but I slept through it. It’s also pet friendly. Tons of restaurants and stores. The price was unbelievable for NYC. Highly recommend and I WILL be back!
