Set in manicured gardens. Country living central to Hilo, Volcano National Park, and Lower Puna. Coqui frogs, birds, and insects provide a nocturnal chorus. Great home base for adventure or work from home with high speed fiberoptic WiFi. Washer/dryer, television/Netflix, no a/c, Property has avocado, tangerine, limes, lemons, jabuticaba, grumichama, mangos, mountain apple, breadfruit, lilikoi, pineapple, papaya, coconut, tropical plants. Hosts lives at secluded end of property.

Located in the heart of Puna. Central to accessing Kehena Black Sand Beach in lower Puna, Volcano Nation Park, the new eruption in Leilani Estates, Hilo, and the Hamakua coast. The property is 12 miles from the Hilo Airport and 86 miles to the Kona Airport. The home is in Hawaiian Paradise Park in Keaau Hawaii, a subdivision consisting of 1 acre farm lots sparsely developed. Our property has two homes sat at opposite ends of the lot. There are homes on either side with the lot directly across the street undeveloped. The climate in Kea‘au is warm, muggy, windy, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 63°F to 83°F and is rarely below 60°F or above 85°F. Nightly rain should be expected. Keaau, Hawaii gets 122 inches of rain, on average, per year. The US average is 38 inches of rain per year. Please message me when booking if you are sensitive to detergents or perfumes to allow adequate time to modify cleaning and maintenance. *****Weekly Sunday Zen Buddhist service open to visitors. The Big Island of Hawaii is very big. You will need a car.
