The host is not only very accommodating and reasonable, he's also an intelligent interesting person to chat with! While this isn't Hyde Park by any stretch! The neighborhood is safe and right next to both north/south and east/west major bus routes and a block from the red line. A great value for the money!

I loved the treatment received, they were very kind and even gave me something to eat. It is very quiet, everything in order and good sized rooms. The host is exceptional. There is transportation nearby and you can get to DownTown quickly, I would repeat without hesitation.

This is a really niche service they offer here. Being in between places while buying a house has been weird to navigate, but I was able to seamlessly slip in and will be able to seamlessly slip out when it's time. I work unconventional hours, but the cohost took the anxiety out of me wondering if I would be able to get in and and gave me thoughtful instructions to accommodate my check in. There was a really disruptive and kind of scary and aggressive guest who rented a dorm where I was sleeping. I am sure it must have been difficult to handle, but Dee handled it well despite the guest being extremely rude and condescending. I know it comes with the territory which is unfortunate, but I personally really appreciate the general thoughtfulness and safe feeling the hosts and cohosts provide especially being a single female on their own.

My stay was pleasant. Mr. Dee welcomed me very well, and I felt right at home. The house was clean and organized, the area was very peaceful, and I was only a 5-minute walk away from the nearest subway station (Garfield). Furthermore, the owner was extremely kind and helpful. I spent 5 days here during spring break. I was so happy to stay here because this hostel is always clean, safe, quiet, and cozy. The owner, Jessie, was so friendly and nice. She always welcomes me with her beautiful smile. I arrived here pretty late night, but I could check in smoothly. This hostel equipped everything all you need. (hair dryer, towels, silverware, kitchen, and laundry machine) You do not need to bring your stuff. I just can't believe that I can stay here with cheap price. If you consider that where you have to stay in Chicago, I highly recommend here, "Happy Homes." I will stay again here if I visit Chicago again. Plus) Mark was also friendly and nice. He most helped me stay well here.

hello, my experience at a was very polite and helpful I needed to arrive before check-in time and she understood me very well, the house is very clean, the room was clean too, there was another person in the house but it seemed that she was alone, uncomfortable . easy access place but at night it seemed to be a little dangerous, but I went around the city and came back around 10pm by bus and it was super quiet. I will stay there on my next trip to Chicago

It's a great place if you are a student like me because the area is very quiet. I was also in great luck because no other visitors were staying and I had the apartment practically all to myself. The house was clean and tidy. The owner was amazing, very helpful and accommodating for my requests. The bus stops were only two minutes of walking away. I don't think you can find a place like this at this price.
